Title: Technical and Operations Director Nationality: British George Szlosarek has been with Epsilon since inception of the group in 2003, working alongside Andreas Hipp to develop the operational procedures. He has also overseen the network design and build, ensuring it matches the needs of the business. George has laid out the technical vision and roadmap for the Global Footprint and has put together the teams of engineering and planning staff, NOC Engineers and administrative units, Field subcontractors and the Global Alliances with its current partners. He continues to be closely involved with all the engineering divisions working across the various geographical units. George has also designed and managed the development of the network from the initial SDH topology right through to Global Carrier Ethernet and Core IP/MPLS capabilities, which today are serving a sizable proportion of the Global International Community. He strives to ensure that the network is capable to both scale and deliver the range of services demanded by its customer base. More recently George has been putting together the various teams and contractors responsible for the build out of the Epsilon Global Hub Projects. He has been pursuing this business area closely, integrating the Global Hubs into the Global Network to unify the current product line. Prior to Epsilon, George Szlosarek has worked in Senior Field Engineering Positions for ADC Systems Integration Division rolling out Ciena DWDM and Core Optical Switching products across Europe and into Asia for some of the largest backbone Networks. He has also worked for US Carrier Dynegy, managing and maintaining the Core Optical Global Backbone. George has over 10 years established experience working in Core Optical Divisions across Europe and Asia with experience across many vendors; managing and developing engineering teams for each of these respective projects. |
